Permission to export journey

Apply for permission to export 'objectionable goods'

Overview

Generally, items that are classified RC or prohibited under Customs Regulations cannot be exported from Australia. Australian Border Force may seize these items at the border.

In strictly limited circumstances, the Director of the Classification Board may grant a Permission to Export such items legally. Personal use or entertainment is generally not sufficient grounds for granting permission. This guide details what are 'objectionable goods' and explains the eligibility criteria.
