Step3

How much does it cost?

Fees

There are three different fees. Two are based on the supporting material you send with your application, and the third is for games demonstrations.

The fees are:

Type Fee Supporting material needed

Level 1

$1210

  • a detailed written description of gameplay
  • written documentation of contentious material (that may leade to an M rating or higher) on Attachment One of the Computer Games application form

Level 2

$890

  • a detailed written description of gameplay
  • a separate recording of any contentious material in the game (that may lead to an M rating or higher), and
  • typical gameplay footage

Demonstrated

$2460

If the Board needs you to demonstrate your game, and you have applied under a different fee, you need to pay the difference between the fees before processing can continue.

If you want to speed up the processing time, you can pay an extra $420 for Priority Processing.

You may be able to have a trained Assessor make a recommendation - this can save you money. Please see how to apply for classification of an Assessed Computer Game to find out more.

Processing your payment

You can pay the fee with a credit card or by direct deposit - details are available on the application form, or you can contact the Applications section if you need more information.

A receipt will be issued once your payment is made.

Processing your application will only start when we receive your payment - we can't issue an invoice for later payment of classification fees.
