FilmFestivalJourney

Film festivals and community screening exemptions

Overview

If you want to publicly exhibit unclassified films at a film festival or community event, you need to apply to the Director of the Classification Board for a film festival exemption before you can do so.

You will find details about the information you need to give us to make a decision about your event, and the rules you must follow when screening the films. You will also find a copy of the guidelines which will help us make decisions about the films you want to show.
