Step 2—Check the classification

Check the classification

If you are unsure if a film is classified, or whether you have the correct information about a classified film, you should search the National Classification Database (NCD) for the classification decision.

The NCD gives you information about the classification decision, consumer advice and available information about the film. This includes the running time of the film, director and producer details (where available) so you can compare the results with the film you have to advertise.

If the film is not classified, you can still advertise it. More information about advertising unclassified films can be found in I want to advertise unclassified films and computer games—what are the rules?.

If the film is classified, you need to make sure the classification and consumer advice is shown in any advertising where needed.
