Classification requirements

Recordings without multimedia content (audio only)

Music recordings which do not contain any audiovisual images are not covered by the National Classification Scheme. They are covered by the Recorded Music Labelling Code of Practice jointly established by ARIA and AMRA.

Recordings with multimedia content

If a music recording contains any multimedia content or videos, and the total content of the recording is likely to exceed a PG classification, it needs to be classified.
