11 June 2015-Welcome to Australian Classification

11 June 2015: The Classification Portal has arrived

The Classification Branch has released a new Classification Portal for industry clients to submit their product for classification. Part of the stage one release will enable clients to submit their applications for classification via the portal for all products including cinema release films, computer games and publications.

The Classification Portal provides approved clients with access to track their application progress, real time account balances and electronic payments.

Classification Branch staff have worked with several high profile ‘Hollywood studio’ clients throughout the testing and all have agreed that the portal is efficient, secure and intuitive.

Further developments and enhancements are planned for the portal, including the lodgement of film festival applications, electronic certificates and media transfers. The Classification Branch encourages all existing clients to try the portal and to use it as the preferred way of lodging applications.

Further information is available from the Classification Portal page. Individual clients and organisations will need to apply for a unique user ID and password before lodging applications.
