Authorised Advertising Assessor (AAA) scheme training

About the Authorised Advertising Assessor (AAA) scheme

The Classification Act provides that the Director of the Classification Board may authorise a person to make assessments of the likely classification of unclassified films or computer games for advertising purposes.

Authorised Advertising Assessors can make assessments about the likely classification of unclassified films (up to R 18+) or computer games (up to MA 15+) for advertising purposes, such as posters, trailers and internet advertising.

Please note: The scheme is not mandatory and the arrangements for the Classification Board to make assessments of the likely classification are still available to distributors.

AAA training – What courses are available?

Course prerequisites

To participate in the Authorised Advertising Assessor scheme, you will need to complete the core film module and/or the core computer game module prior to completing this training course, depending on the material you wish to assess.
