Core film module training
About the core film module
The Classification Act provides that the Director of the Classification Board may authorise a person to assess and make recommendations on the classification and consumer advice for certain film content.
The Core Film Module trains potential assessors to make assessments about the classification of film content. This core module is a prerequisite for assessors who wish to be trained in the Additional Content Assessor, Authorised Television Series Assessor and/or Authorised Advertising Assessor schemes. You also need to complete this module if your assessor status has lapsed.
If you are a current ACA or ATSA assessor, you do not need to complete this module.
Please note: This training is not mandatory and the existing classification arrangements are still available to distributors.
