Advertising for unclassified films and computer games
Unclassified films and computer games can be advertised after they have been assessed for their likely classification.
There are two ways to assess the likely classification of a film or computer game:
- A trained Authorised Advertising Assessor (AAA) can make an assessment to the likely classification for the film or game; or
- Material can be submitted to the Classification Board for assessment
Once a likely classification for the film or computer game has been assessed, the unclassified product can be advertised in accordance with the regulations.
When the film or computer game has been classified by the Classification Board, the assessment of likely classification is superseded by the actual classification.
