Publications Enforcement Bulletin

The Publications Enforcement Bulletin provides information for Australian law enforcement agencies about the current classification status of certain adult publications. The Bulletin will also help distributors and retailers of adult publications to comply with State and Territory classification laws. Under these laws it may be an offence to distribute, to sell or to display for sale the publications listed on this bulletin.

The bulletin is updated regularly.

It is important that distributors and retailers are aware that some adult publications not listed on this bulletin may not be classified. Distributors and retailers should always check the classification database to satisfy themselves that particular publications have received a classification certificate from the Board.

Retailers or sub-distributors can protect themselves by asking for proof of classification before accepting any magazines for on-selling.

Information regarding the revocation of serial classification declarations does not appear on the classification database. Publications unclassified due to the revocation of serial classification declarations are listed on the Publications Enforcement Bulletin.
