‘More information’ - helping you choose

The ‘More Information’ feature is available for new cinema films released from September 2019.

‘More Information’ is a brief description of any content in a film that may concern viewers, like drug use, sex, violence, bad language or social issues. It expands on the information provided by the consumer advice on the rating label, to help you choose for you and your family.

You can find this feature when you search for the rating of a new release cinema film. Select the More information about this film drop-down menu towards the bottom of the page.

For films and computer games released after 2012, you can also check Why this classification? on the search results page. It provides an overview of content in a film or game by type (sex, violence, drug use etc) and impact level, which explains the classification.
