300 Days Of War

After the Hungarian army is destroyed by the Mongol Invasion, Hungary's fortified city of Esztergom becomes the final barrier between the forces of Genghis Kahn's son and the heart of Europe. Inside the walls, survival depends not only on swords but on a fragile triangle of power between the Mongol command, the embattled Hungarian king, and a Vatican cardinal whose shifting loyalties carry the weight of Rome itself.  At the center stands Eusebius, a pacifist and visionary canon, forced into uneasy alliance with Captain Simon, a battle-hardened mercenary. As siege, hunger, and doubt tighten their grip, diplomacy, faith, and betrayal collide with Mongol ritual and prophecy. What unfolds is not a battle for a fortress, but a psychological confrontation between empire, crown and church.
