AMULET

Amulet is a slow-building horror film. Tomaz is a struggling ex-soldier, who is offered a place to stay, free of charge, by Magda, if he helps her fix up her house while she takes care of her ailing (and often screaming) mother, who is locked away in the attic. As he becomes increasingly attracted to the young, shy-mannered Magda, he cannot ignore his suspicion that something sinister is going on. While this sounds like a great arrangement for Tomaz, not only is Tomaz plagued by his own demons, but he also grows increasingly suspicious of what exactly is going on in that house.
