Avatar: The Way Of Water is a modified version of the US science fiction film that is the second instalment in the Avatar film series. The film follows Jake Sully and his family, who are forced to protect the planet of Pandora against human threats seeking to exploit its resources. The modifications include an introduction by director James Cameron and content from the unclassified film Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Themes

The film contains science fiction themes including depictions of fantastical science fiction creatures being hunted and engaged in combat. The film also contains scenes containing a sense of threat, death and bullying.

Violence

The film contains multiple sequences which contain depictions of human and humanoid characters fighting each other using hand-to-hand combat as well as weapons which include automatic rifles, explosives, spears, knives and bows and arrows. Some of these depictions are accompanied by blood effects and injury detail, including a discreet depiction of a severed arm.
