Babardeala Cu Bucluc Sau Porno Balamuc is a drama in which Emi, a school teacher, finds her career and reputation under threat after a personal sex tape is leaked on the Internet. Forced to meet the parents demanding her dismissal, Emi refuses to surrender to their pressure. The film features dialogue in Romanian, Czech, French and Russian that is subtitled in English.

Themes

The film includes discussions about contentious issues in Romanian society including references to the Holocaust, domestic violence and attitudes towards rape.

There are brief depictions of violence in archival film clips, footage of actual assaults filmed by witnesses in public locations and a scene of crudely sexualised violence in which several people are attacked by a woman wielding a large dildo.
