Conscript is a top-down perspective 3D action survival game set during World War I in which the player, as a lone French soldier, explores the trenches of Verdun searching for his missing-in-action brother.

Themes

The game features pixelated 3D animation from a top down distant perspective featuring World War I environments including trenches and battlefields, corpses and animal carcasses with occasional blood detail. Themes include executions, gas attacks and prisoners of war with limited injury detail. Prescription drugs in the form of morphine and undetailed stimulants can be administered for medical purposes to provide health boosts throughout the game.

Violence

The game contains violence in the form of attacks using melee and ranged weapons, including knives, grenade launchers, handguns, machine guns, flamethrowers, rifles and fire bombs in a WWI trench warfare context. Players cause damage to non-playable characters that results in blood mists, sprays and pools. The bodies and blood remain in the environment when enemies are defeated.

Language

The game contains use of the words, "f**k", "shit", "bastard", "piss", "damn" and "hell".
