Core Keeper is a dungeon crawler/sandbox survivalist adventure game, played from a 2.5D perspective with pixelated graphics. The player finds a mysterious relic in a remote jungle, and is transported into an underground world to explore, with friendly creatures and enemies to defeat, in a variety of fantasy biomes.

Themes

The game contains themes which include scary scenes, supernatural and fantasy creatures, destruction and suicide references, (in which a trapped player can choose to die and be respawned), in the context of a dungeon crawler/adventure game.

Violence

The game contains violence in the form of hand-to-hand combat and ranged combat, using a variety of fantasy and real-life weapons including daggers, axes, scythes, bows, Ninja stars and laser beams. There is minimal blood detail, however there are depictions of slime, along with death animations of puffs of smoke or liquid.

Online interactivity

The game contains online interactivity and chat in the form of text chat, and no in-game purchases.
