Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department officers Chow Ching-lai (Nicholas TSE) and Cheung Wan-nam (Jacky CHEUNG) share a close mentor-student relationship. On a case involving seized smuggled arms, Ching-lai is sent to take part in a joint operation with Interpol to capture a reclusive arms dealer. However, Wan-nam makes a drastic decision that complicates the case even further.

Customs Frontline is a Chinese action drama film in which a joint investigation by Hong Kong Customs officers and Interpol into a foreign arms trading operation led by a reclusive dealer leads to further complications. The film is in Chinese with Chinese and English subtitles.

Themes

The film contains a suicide scene and mental health themes, including references to bipolar disorder. There are also depictions of organised criminal activity, arms and drug smuggling, war casualties and references to embezzlement and bereavement.

Violence

The film contains frequent gun violence that results in blood sprays, mists and spurts. Characters use hand-to-hand combat, melee weapons and martial arts kicks and punches throughout the film.
