The journey of 26 plundered royal treasures from the Kingdom of Dahomey exhibited in Paris, now being returned to Benin. Looted by French troops 130 years ago, this non-fiction film charts the statues, religious artefacts and carved and sculpted artworks journey and repatriation to their country of origin, Dahomey, now the Republic of Benin. Diop artistically voices a new generation's demands and reactions to this token gesture of returning 26 of 7000 items held in France. "Number 26" of the returning items is given a narration voice in the native language, Fon, to react to this movement back to its homeland.
