The Dawn of the Witch is comprised of twelve episodes of a Japanese animated series in which a group of students with special magical abilities from the Wenias Royal Magic Academy, under the guidance of Loux Krystas, attempt to establish a village of witches in a region where anti-witch sentiment and witch hunts occur.

Themes

The series contains fantasy themes and magical abilities which are used in the context of frequent action sequences between witches, anthropomorphised characters and magical creatures. There are also references to demonic possession and witchcraft.

Violence

The series contains highly-stylised animated violence between combatants using fantasy weaponry, axes, scythes and other bladed weapons. Violence features dismemberment, decapitations, stylised injury detail and frequent blood sprays.

Sex

The series contains sexualised imagery and sexual references.

Language

The series includes use of the words, 'ass', 'crap', 'bastard', 'jerk', 'butt', 'screw' 'hell' and 'damn'.
