Dead Mount Death Play (Season 1 Part 1) is a Japanese supernatural anime series consisting of 12 episodes, in which the Corpse God uses a unique magic skill to reincarnate himself in the body of a teenager in modern Tokyo. Believing this new world could provide a peaceful life, the Corpse God takes on Polka’s identity. The series is in English.

Themes

The series contains fight sequences involving copious stylised blood effects and injury detail, as well as supernatural elements in the form of ghosts and humans with magical abilities, including necromancy.

Violence

The series contains fight sequences between humans and occasionally with supernatural and fantastical beings. This includes depictions of dismemberment, impalement, stabbing and decapitation with bladed weapons, as well as an instance of torture featuring stabbing with a pole and nail gun. The depictions are accompanied with stylised blood pooling, spurts and splatters and injury detail.

Sex

The series contains sexualised imagery in which women are depicted with large breasts, wearing low-cut clothing or who are partially naked, which exposes their ample cleavage. There are also brief visual references to implied sexual activity.
