Firestarter is an American/Canadian thriller film about a young girl, Charlie, and her parents who all have telekinetic abilities and are hunted by a government organisation.

Themes

The film includes people with supernatural abilities that are used to set objects, people and a cat on fire. The flames cause heavy and detailed burns on the bodies of the victims, which at one point includes a cat. The film also includes secret government experimentation on people, as well as instances of school bullying.

Violence

The film includes multiple shootings, some of which are headshots that include bursts of blood detail. The film also includes people being burnt through telekinesis that causes heavy, detailed burns and death.

Language
