First Love is a comedic Japanese crime drama in which a boxer and a sex worker become tangled in a drug-smuggling conspiracy over the course of a single night. The film is in Japanese and subtitled in English.

Themes

The film includes references to sex work, drug addiction and child abuse. There are also scenes featuring decapitated heads and other bloody injuries.

Violence

People are shot or decapitated with a sword, creating large spurts and sprays of blood. A man’s arm is severed, causing blood to spurt from the stump.

Sex

A woman distracts a man by sliding her hand into her underwear and then holding out her fingers towards him. As a woman tries to collect drugs from a man's lap he comments that he is "getting hard".

Language

The film includes use of the words "f**k", "motherf**ker", and "cocksucker" as well as "prick", "whore" and "dick".

Drug use

A bag of meth explodes over a wounded drug dealer's lap and a woman who is going through withdrawal scrabbles over his clothed crotch in a futile attempt to get at the drugs. The dealer is subsequently shown rubbing meth into his wound.
