The Forgiven is a UK drama about a couple who are involved in a fatal accident as they drive through the Moroccan desert to a decadent party. The film is predominantly in English, but contains numerous scenes in Arabic with English subtitles.

Themes

The film features brief depictions of a fatal car accident and subsequent scenes featuring the body, which has minimal evidence of wound detail. The film also contains examples of crude humour and infrequent use of discriminatory language.

Violence

A man is threatened with a gun and then shot, with droplets of blood seen on the face of a woman behind of him. A bloody bullet hole in clothing is briefly seen.

Sex

The film contains some crude verbal sexual references and a scene in which a couple begin to have sex on a bed. They are both clothed and the man's rear end is seen from behind as the woman wraps her legs tightly around his waist.

Language

The film contains use of the words 'c**t" and 'f'**k', as well as 'shit', 'piss', 'cock', 'asshole', 'slut', 'bloody' and 'damn'.

Drug use

There is a scene in which a woman sniffs two lines of white powder. A line of powder is also visible in front of another character.
