Themes

The series contains science fiction themes, set during a war in which large-scale armed mech-robots are piloted by soldiers of the Pricipality of Zeon, fighting a large scale war against the Earth Federation Forces. A character endures a nightmare in which a river of stylised blood is viewed briefly followed by members of her deceased unit, with stylised injury detail.

Violence

The film contains frequent science fiction violence in the form of battles between armed forces using large, futuristic mech-suits piloted by humans that include weapons such as machine guns, missiles, laser beams, swords and shields. Occasional stylised blood spray and brief injury detail is viewed in the aftermath of violence as well as post-action visuals of dead soldiers.
