Halloween Kills is an instalment in the American horror film series, Halloween. The film revolves around serial killer, Michael Myers, who, after surviving a lethal trap set by one of his previous victims, Laurie, and her daughters, resumes his killing spree as he seeks to return to his childhood home.

Themes

Thematic content includes people being pursued and murdered in sadistic fashion by a serial-killer, depictions of injury detail, suicide and jump-scares.

Violence

The film contains multiple scenes in which a people are attacked and killed with a variety of weapons including knives, saws, metal rods or guns. The film also contains a scene in which a man pushes his fingers into another man’s eye sockets, causing him to die. These depictions are accompanied by blood sprays and gore.

Sex

The film contains verbal sexual references including a woman describing a party as an “orgy”.

Language

The film contains use of the words “f**k”, “ass”, “bitch”, “balls”, “shit” and “damn”.
