Haunted House is a US supernatural comedy film inspired by the classic Disney theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion”, about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.

Themes

The film contains themes relating to grief, and pervasive, mild threat and menace that may scare young children in the form of ghosts scaring the characters.

Violence

The film contains brief scenes of mild violence including two ghosts who partake in a gun duel with no blood or injury detail and an implied decapitation. A ghost is kicked in the head and is not hurt.
