Him is a US psychological horror film in which a young athlete descends into a world of terror when he's invited to train with a legendary champion whose charisma curdles into something darker.

Themes

The film contains sustained threat and menace in which a young athlete undergoes a nightmarish ordeal to achieve athletic greatness, with brief images of internal organs, blood transfusions, injections, and scenes of forced high-intensity training with bloody and injurious consequences.

Violence

The film contains stabbing and slashes with bladed weapons with visual references to decapitation as well as hard punches and hits and some sporting violence in the context of American football. There is copious blood detail in the form of spurting, gushes and splatters.
