This is a short documentary in the series THE LANGUAGE OF LIGHT focusing on photographer Emmanuel Santos. A series of interviews illustrates his life from childhood on a remote Phillipines Island to his marraige to an Australian woman and emigrating to love in East St. Kilda where he became fascinated by the Orthodox Jewish community and embarked on producing a photographic series depicting their lives and practices and later accompanying some to visit some concentration camp sites in Europe and developing his style further to illustrate disappeared persons in the Ukraine conflict.
