THE LAVENDER HILL MOB - CLASSICS REMASTERED

A modified version of a previously classified British Ealing comedy, The Lavender Hill Mob tells the story of a hapless group of amateur criminals who hijack a van filled with gold bullion which they melt down and smuggle into France in the form of paperweights of the Eiffel Tower. This newly remastered version of the film comes with additional features, comprising an introduction to the film from Martin Scorsese, an excerpt from an audio interview with director Charles Crichton, a vintage TV interview with the film’s screenwriter T.E.B. Clarke, a brief restoration comparison and a behind-the-scenes stills gallery.
