Loop8: Summer of Gods is an RPG adventure set in an alternate 1980s Japan overrun by otherworldly beings known as Kegai. A teenage boy named Nini, who has spent his whole life on a space station, arrives in a small town called Ashihara, which has so far mysteriously remained largely untouched by the Kegai and discovers that he has gained godlike powers that could turn the tide against the Kegai.

Themes

The game features science fiction and fantasy themes including references to an apocalypse and enemy Kegai creatures that take various forms including a sentient tree being and a shark-like creature. There are also brief references to romantic jealousy and sexual harassment.

Violence

While in the "Underworld", the player battles Kegai monsters in turn based combat. During combat, numbers appear over the head of the enemies to indicate the amount of damage taken along with various flashes and sound effects. There is no depiction of blood in battle sequences.

Sex

The game includes references to breast size and 'adult' magazines.

Language

The game includes use of the words "shit", "crap", and "hell".
