NBA 2K24 is a basketball simulation game depicting the National Basketball Association and the sport of basketball as accurately as possible. The game includes online interactivity in the form of Play Online Now multi-mode play, Play with Friends allowing up to 9 players online, and NBA 2KTV an interactive in-game streaming program focusing on NBA lifestyle, interviews and game-centric segments (highlights and tips), along with interactive polls and trivia questions, where users are awarded in-game currency when they participate. The game also includes in-game purchases of in-game credits with real world currency.

Themes

The game contains themes related to modes that simulate the experiences of being a player in professional basketball through a variety of modes including: In MyCAREER, where players create a custom MyPLAYER, although there is no ability to create exaggerated body parts. In this mode players can experience a new and unique journey to the NBA, that puts many key decisions into their hands. along the way, including the ability to interact with the City environment combining interactive cinematics and gameplay. Teh game also includes simulated gambling in the form of 'Ante-Up' , in which players users can spend Virtual Currency (“VC”) to participate in matches on the Ante-Up courts, with a win being rewarded with (2x) the VC and a chance to win the progressive randomised VC jackpot.
