THE NEVER LIST follows 16-year old Eva Jeffries, a straight-laced overachiever who is running for student class president while juggling a heavy academic schedule and planning her school's Spring dance. Eva and her best friend Liz enjoy dressing up as not-so-good girls “Vicky” and “Veronica” and imagining their alteregos doing highly questionable and even illegal things that Eva and Liz would never do. Things they document in a list they call “The Never List.” Wen Liz unexpectedly dies, Eva is filled with anger because of all the things Liz didn't do out of fear of risking her future — a future she ultimately would never have. Eva decides the best way to honor her best friend's memory is to complete “The Never List.” At first this journey leads to romance and adventure, but as the list progresses, her actions begin threatening the very foundations of her carefully planned future and even her own life.
