The Outwaters is an American horror film in which a group of people filming a music video in the Mojave Desert are tormented by mysterious and threatening phenomena.

Themes

The film contains supernatural themes related to mysterious phenomena causing a character to self-mutilate, castrate and disembowel himself below screen. A character's severed penis is viewed in close-up as well as entrails dragging and hanging from a character's body in first-person perspective. Slimy worm creatures are viewed attacking a character who is covered in blood. Several decapitated heads are viewed on stakes.

Violence
