Paddington in Peru is a U.S., UK, Japanese and French family adventure film in which Paddington Bear and the Brown family head to Peru and find themselves caught up in a treasure hunt in the Amazon jungle.

Themes

The film contains scenes of mild threat and peril in the context of an adventure through the Amazon jungle, as well as themes of belonging and relationships. There are stylised scenes of historical characters implicitly dying, including in a plane crash and in quicksand, with no injury detail. There are also scenes involving ancestral 'ghosts' that are presented with no threat or menace.

Violence

The film contains slapstick violence including slapping, shoving and the use of swinging branch, as well as scenes of mild threat involving a machete and a musket that are quickly and comedically resolved.
