A modified version of a previously classified British Ealing comedy, Passport To Pimlico. During a heat wave, an unexploded post-war bomb is accidentally detonated in Pimlico, revealing a cache of treasure and documents that decree that Pimlico is to be recognised as part of Burgundy, causing the community to be cut off from the rest of Britain. This newly remastered version of the film comes with additional features, comprising a short interview with Mark Duguid, a locations featurette with Richard Dacre, a brief restoration comparison and a behind-the-scenes stills gallery.

Themes

The film focuses on a bomb which explodes in London, exposing buried treasure and information that causes the borough to be separated from the rest of Britain, surrounded with barbed wire and patrolled by police.
