Payday 3 is a first-person shooter game in which the playable characters – Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains – engage in violent heists.

Themes

The playable characters engage in heists in various locations including a jewellery store, an art gallery, a night club, cargo docks, a penthouse and banks. The player can also take hostages to be used as human shields.

Violence

During robberies the characters engage in violent confrontations with employees, by-standers and law enforcement with an array of weapons including guns, knives and explosives. Gunshots are accompanied by bursts of blood spray, but the blood effects fade and disappear from the environment.

Sex

The game includes sexualised imagery in the form of a night club in which female characters are seen dancing around poles in a cage.

Language

The game includes use of the words 'f**k', 'shit', 'ass', and 'bastard'.

Drug use

The game includes references to the drug trade including visuals of packaged cocaine bricks.

Online interactivity

The game does not include in-game purchases but does feature online interactivity and chat in multiplayer modes.
