A Place Called Silence is a Chinese revenge thriller film in which a mother searches for her missing, speech-impaired daughter following the murder of the girl's schoolmates. The film is in Chinese with English subtitles.

Themes

The film contains themes of bullying, trauma, revenge, grief, death, crime, corruption and natural disasters. The film features numerous depictions of family discord and abuse along with anti-social behaviour. The film also contains a discreet suicide scene.
