In 2015 Mercedes-AMG set out to crack one of the last barriers within the automotive industry: to build the first street-legal hypercar with F1 Technology – the holy grail of automobile engineering! With big promises from the AMG Management and highest expectations from a handpicked crowd of 275 buyers, fans and the eyes of the entire automotive industry watching, there was much at stake. But as time went on the hypercar seemed more hype and less car! Threatening to undermine the image of the entire Mercedes group through misfires, problems, delays, frustrations and tensions within the management and the teams, there was rising pressure from all sides. Yet failure was not an option. This is a story of making the impossible possible!
