Rebel is an action drama in which Muslim brothers Kamal and Nassim are recruited by a Belgian ISIS cell to fight in Syria. The film features dialogue in English, Arabic, French and Dutch, which is subtitled in English.

Themes

The film contains thematic content including terrorist acts, executions, radicalisation, bullying and criminal activity such as drug dealing. In several scenes, characters are tortured and coerced into killing other characters against their will. The film features a scene in which a child's leg wound is stitched together.
