Synopsis:
Set in the rural landscape of Bangladesh during a pre-digital era shaped by class hierarchy, superstition, and isolation, Roid follows Sadhu, a poor tenant farmer struggling to survive with his emotionally volatile wife in a harsh and deeply unequal society.
Living on the margins, Sadhu’s quiet existence gradually unravels as buried tensions, desire, power, and humiliation begin to surface within the village around him. Trapped between poverty, social pressure, and his own fragile sense of dignity, he finds himself pulled into a psychological and emotional spiral that exposes the cruelty and vulnerability beneath rural life.
