The Sanctity of Space is a documentary film which follows climbing buddies, Renan Ozturk, Freddie Wilkinson, and Zack Smith as they traverse their way across Alaska’s Denali Mountain ranges. The film is shot over 7 years, as the men attempt to climb the foreboding peaks of the Moose’s Tooth massif. The climbers are inspired by well-known aerial mountain photographer, the late Brad Washburn, who photographed the Denali Mountain ranges 75 years earlier.

Themes

The film includes themes relating to injury detail, in which some blood and flesh wounds are observed. There is a brief distant depiction of a deceased climber's coloured jacket in the snow after they are said to have died in an avalanche. In another scene, archival news footage of a deceased woman covered in a blanket being carried to a truck is shown - the result of drowning after a failed aeroplane landing in 1938.

Sex

The film includes a comedic sexual reference about a climber fondling his camera.
