Shadow In The Cloud is a New Zealand / US fantasy action film set in a WW2 fighter plane. Female pilot Maude Garrett boards a flight from Auckland with a confidential package. Placed in a gun turret underneath the fuselage, she soon realises that the plane is being attacked by gremlins and she fights to get back into the body of the aircraft and protect her mysterious package.

Themes

The film features monsters which attack a plane during a flight. The creatures cause damage to the aircraft and then hunt and attack the passengers, generating a sense of peril.

Violence

The film contains war-themed violence as enemy planes shoot at one another, with members of the crew hit and killed by large calibre gunfire. Blood and some wound detail is depicted. Characters also fight against gremlins, which are armed with teeth and claws, with further blood and wound detail evident.

Sex

The film contains verbal sexual references and some sexual innuendo, including conversations between the airmen as they speculate about Maude's sexual proclivities. The film also contains use of the word, "f**k", in a sexual context.
