SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is set in a time where an evil paramilitary organization named ENE Corp has a stronghold over the world. ENE Corp has successfully conquered any group who stands before them. The only remaining resistance is the legendary Oboro Clan, a village of highly trained shinobi who serve as protectors of humanity. The leader of ENE Corp, Lord Ruse, enacts a full-scale invasion of the Oboro Clan's village to fulfill his desire of full world domination unstrained. In the aftermath of this assault, the ninja clan's leader, Joe Musashi, sets off his journey to seek vengeance for his desecrated village while also putting a stop to Ruse's tyranny once and for all.
