André Masson, an renown Parisian auctioneer, receives word that a painting by expressionist artist Egon Schiele has been discovered in the home of a young factory worker. Initially skeptical, he discovers that the painting is authentic; a masterpiece missing since 1939, confiscated by the Nazis.
André sees this discovery as the pinnacle of his career, but also the beginning of a struggle that could jeopardise it...
