Sickened of his addiction to blood, Fallon arrives in a remote valley in rural America where he is taken in by a family of Buddhist refugees. Mr Loi is dead, murdered by Joe Reynolds, a Trumpian demagogue who wants to cleanse the valley of outsiders. Fallon comes on-side with the family in their battle against Reynolds’ thugs. However, we learn that this action is not as disinterested as it might seem.
Fallon used to be a cop in this valley and holds Reynolds responsible for his wife’s death. Fallon has come back for vengeance, to kill Reynolds, to perform this act of retribution before Fallon, in turn, kills himself.
Except... Fallon starts to become human again. Having renounced his blood lust, it seems he has been given another chance at redemption. He must now decide whether to embrace this new life with the Loi family or return to his old life and avenge his dead family.
Heart-breaking, violent and touching all at once.
