Vikrant Rona is an Indian supernatural mystery film in which a man named Vikrant Rona arrives in a remote village in the jungle, where a series of children are being abducted and murdered. The local people believe it to be the work of a legendary demon, Brahmarakshasha, but Vikram’s investigation uncovers village rivalries which may hold the answer. The film is in Kannada with English subtitles.

Themes

The film features tense supernatural sequences, including some jump scares. A series of child murders is attributed to a demon of local legend. There are scenes of bullying and verbal references to suicide, with several scenes in which bodies are discreetly depicted hanging from trees.

Violence

The film contains several scenes of action violence, with characters engaging in extended fights in which they punch, kick and throw each other and sometimes hit one another with objects. A man is stabbed repeatedly with a knife. A child has teeth pulled from his mouth with pliers, by another child. Violence throughout the film is mostly bloodless and there is no focus on wound or injury detail.

Sex

A musical sequence features very mild examples of sexual references.

Language

The film contains use of the words 'crap', 'bugger', 'hell' and 'damn'.
