The Whistlers is a Romanian/German and French dramatic crime collaboration. Not everything is as it seems for Cristi, a policeman who plays both sides of the law. Embarking on a high-stakes heist, navigating the twists and turns of corruption, treachery and deception. The film’s dialogue is in Romanian and Spanish with English subtitles.

Themes

The film contains themes of police corruption, gang crime and sexual threat. In a scene in a swimming pool, a man tries to grab a woman suggestively. She pushes him a way and tries to remove herself from his vicinity but he continues to grope at her waist. She eventually removes his hands and gets out of the pool.
