Zombucha! is a satirical, sci-fi comedy about struggling couple, Maddie and Leo, who both become unemployed on the same day. Hoping to strike it rich with an organic beverage empire, egregiously named, Thirsty Virgin, they steal Kai’s kombucha scoby to kickstart their own enterprise. But when they mix in some mysterious herbs from Blanche’s garden, the scoby transforms and gains sentience and they inadvertently unleash a ‘killer kombucha’ that enslaves the thirsty. With their relationship hanging by a thread, can Maddie and Leo unite to prevent a full-blown zombucha apocalypse?
