There are rules that apply to how films and computer games are advertised. These rules specify how classification markings must be displayed on advertising and in trailers.
What can be advertised
Films and computer games that have been:
classified G, PG, M, MA 15+ or R 18+ can be advertised
Refused Classification (RC) and X 18 cannot be advertised.
Check the classification
You can check if a film or computer game you wish to advertise has been classified by searching the National Classification Database (NCD). This will provide you with details on the classification decision, consumer advice and other useful information.
